The record has lasted for centuries. The Jews in Egypt, hammered by the Egyptians. For 400 years they prayed for deliverance, and “who would have thunk it?’ Moses, brought up as a prince, turned in his fineries and armor, for a poor man’s attire and a stick, to lead the Israelites (Jews) out of Egypt.
Fast forward to the 1930’s, Hitler became the new Pharaoh, waging war particularly on the Jews. He was slaughtering them like a man swinging wildly with a fly swatter in his hand. Many Jews had fled to America, and feared for their brethren in Europe. Who was going to save the Jews from annihilation?
Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, thought it would take a super hero, like Moses to stop Adolph Hitler. World War 2 was in full effect when these Jewish Americans thought of giving their comrades a fictional hero, to save the Jews, stop Hitler, and for peace to return to the land. Siegel and Schuster came up with the comic book, and SUPERMAN! Followed by BATMAN, CAPTAIN AMERICA.
Why is Superman's street name Clark Kent, rather than Jerry Seinfeld? Jewish last names would not do. The reason why some Jews carry surnames like KING, or ROBERTS (owners of Comcast).
