Newser.com reports that just 30 minutes before his tragic accident, Paul Walker had been standing, posing next to the same red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that he died in.

Paul Walker was sitting in that Porshe as a passenger when the accident happened, says TMZ .

The Porshe, however, was not Walkers. It belonged to a friend of Walkers, Roger Rodas, says Perez Hilton

The friend, says Hilton, had previously been a racecar driver.

Roger Rodas, remembered as a loving family man, had also been the CEO of a car customization shop, and he had raced cars with Paul Walker in the past.

Both Paul Walker and Roger Rodas had been taking the Porsche to a charity event from an auto show when the crash took place.

Both men were killed and it's thought that speed may have been a factor. It's believed that Rodas was at the wheel, when he lost control and the car hit a tree then ignited in flames.

The crash is still being investigated, reports the Los Angeles Times

"This is incredibly tragic. I know the social media networks have just being flooded with people posting about this. So sorry to hear about Paul Walker and Roger Rodas. Both will be sorely missed."

Paul Walker, reports USA Today, had been filming the 7th installment of The Fast and the Furious, and it leaves Universal Pictures with the dilemma of how to move the series forward, in view of the tragedy.
