It has been nearly 20 years since Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain was found dead. For years there have been conspiracy theories regarding Cobain, including some that say he was murdered. Cobain's death was ruled a suicide in 1994 because of a gunshot wound to his head and a lethal dose of heroin in his system at the time of death. According to a March 20 report from Fox News, Seattle police are re-opening the case of Kurt Cobain because of new evidence. There were several photos developed last month from the crime scene, and speculation is something was found on one of the rolls of film.
The loss of Kurt Cobain hit the Hollywood community hard, as well as fans. Memorials have been made for the late Cobain, some of them very touching. Courtney Love was romantically involved with Cobain and the two of them have a daughter together. Neither Love or her daughter have commented on the re-opening of the case yet. Fans are pouring out heartfelt posts across social media in hopes that justice may be served for the death of a legend.
No information has been released at this point except the confirmation of the re-opening of the investigation. Both the media and fans are waiting for more details on the matter, including what prompted the police to take such a drastic measure on a case which was closed nearly two decades ago.
Update- The investigation has not been re-opened as previously reported. The detectives re-examined evidence. As of now, there are currently no new developments according to the Washington Post on March 20.
