The strange case of former Food Network chef Juan-Carlos Cruz just keeps getting even stranger. Amidst various reports of a complicated murder plot involving his wife, we are now hearing claims that Cruz's whole attempt to hire a homeless person to kill Jennifer Campbell was part of a murder / suicide that the two were planning for quite some time.
According to TMZ, Campbell has been extremely depressed over the years due to her inability to have children, but due to her staunch Catholic beliefs she is unable to kill herself. Therefore, the plan was to have Cruz hire someone to murder her, and then he would take his own life.
The prosecution supposedly knows all about this plot, but there is no word just yet on how these allegations (if they are true) will impact the case.
