The public story of Henry Darger’s life began with his death (1892-1973 AD).
Shortly before his death, as he was essentially in a hospice-like institution, his apartment was entered by his neighbor and landlords in order to begin cleaning it out.
Therein, they found a treasure trove of artistry. It was discovered that, amongst other things, he written the world’s most voluminous novel; a 15,145 page (single-spaced) tale titled, The Story Of The Vivian Girls, In What Is Known As The Realms Of The Unreal, Of The Glandeco-Angelinian War Storm, Caused By The Child Slave Rebellion.
He also left behind hundreds of drawings and circa 300 watercolor paintings (most measuring ten feet across). As an example of his various interests; at one time he tracked the weather man’s predictions for a decade as he compared to the actual weather he observed (spoiler alert: the weather man was very, very wrong).
For most of his life Henry Darger was an introverted recluse. He was a devout Catholic and in keeping with his mysterious persona and social elusive nature; fellow parishioners agree that he was always at mass (various times per week) and yet, one noted that he always sat in the very front row, another noted that he always sat in the very back row and another noted that he always sat in the middle row.
Much has been done to uncover the mysterious life and meaning of the art of Henry Darger. The reason for asking whether he was ritually abused is based on various considerations. For example, he had spent time in institutions, trauma based mind control experiments are known (MK Ultra, Monarch, etc.), satanic ritual abuse (SRA) is known and also his novel is premised upon the concept of a Christian nation, led by the Vivian Girls, warring against an Atheists nation who kidnaps, tortures and murders children.
When he was four years old Henry Darger’s mother died after birthing his sister who was subsequently given up for adoption. He had a close relationship with his father but only lived with him until the age of eight.
At that time his, by then crippled, father had to be taken to live at the St. Augustine's Catholic Mission (where Henry would also pass away) and Henry was housed at a Catholic home for boys. Five years later, Henry’s father passed away. Thereafter, Henry was institutionalized in the Illinois Asylum for Feeble-Minded Children.
It has been noted that “The Lincoln asylum's practices included forced labor and severe punishments, which Darger seems to have worked into In the Realms of the Unreal.”
Thus, we have hints that he, indeed, drew upon his own life in the writing of a novel about child abusers. His paintings also include various creatures and he depicted girls, often naked, with male sex organs. The creatures may be simple imagination and some claim that he simply did not know the anatomical difference between the genders. However, such creatures and androgyny are also commonly depicted in occult works (consider Baphomet, for example).
Eventually, he escaped from the asylum in 1908 AD (at 16 yrs) and proceeded to walk to Chicago where he spent the rest of his life. During that walk he “witnessed a huge tornado that devastated the central Illinois area. He described it as ‘a wind convulsion of nature tremendous beyond all man's conception.’”
Thus, the stage appears to have been set for his tale of world shaking battles also with his, brief, military service during WWI. In Chicago, he worked as a janitor at a Catholic hospital until he retired in 1963 AD.
At one point Henry Darger and his only known friend, William Shloder, planned on (but never accomplished) establishing a Children's Protective Society which would function as an adoption agency.
He had much to admit about inward spiritual conflicts such as noting, “I am very bitter but fortunately not revengeful.”
Catholic institutions, particularly Jesuit ones, are notorious for abusing children; sexually and spiritually. Moreover, this is not solely due to neglect or individuals taking it upon themselves to be abusive. As we are all too aware the Catholic church has official policies in place which not only protect sexual predators but move them from place to place so as to help them escape accountability and provide them fresh meat (more unsuspecting child victims).
Some Catholic clergy are, in reality, homosexuals, pedophiles and satanists who have found a safe home in Rome. Their institutions are riddled with physical, spiritual, psychological and sexual abuse.
Moreover, the government has conducted various forms of mind control experiments which include trauma of various sorts (for example, so as to create multiple personality disorder-MPD and dissociative identity disorder-DID).
The lethal combination of the combination of church and state, in the form of Jesuit involvement in government and government involvement in institutions, many have very well lead to personages such as Henry Darger to have experienced various forms of abuse.
Of course, this has been merely speculative and, if it is to be further perused, much more will have to be uncovered.
