Was Deanna Lee Stires murdered?

The decomposing body of Deanna Lee Stires was located on Friday by hunters in an area near Otter Creek, bringing an end to the search for the missing woman. Stires had been missing since New Year's Day, and as of today (January 21, 2013) the woman is now deceased. However, a case of death hasn't yet been released. Was the 18-year-old girl murdered? Also, why are details about her life being stricken from news reports?

Yesterday (January 20, 2013), the Denver Channel reported that the woman had a history of several arrests pertaining to drug possession and distribution charges. However, they later sent an email to me saying that they "removed reference to her arrests, at the request of the family." Whether this detail has been removed in media stories or not, it's still there and it's still indicative of a possibility of how she ended up dead nearly a month after she was reported missing.

Hopefully more answers come out in the mysterious death of this missing woman. Reportedly, officials are investigating the circumstances behind her death including any possible causes. Perhaps more information will be revealed by then, and hopefully with these answers some closure is given to her loved ones. If she was murdered, justice must be served. But if we're going to ignore aspects of her life, including her drug related arrests, then we may as well just not investigate what happened to her at all.
