Was 'Celebrity Apprentice' a warning sign for Jesse James and Sandra Bullock?

Sometimes, a relationship can seem perfect on the surface but littered with problems underneath. In the case of Jesse James and Sandra Bullock, some of those problems may have been evident had we paid attention.

There is growing speculation that James, who owns West Coast Choppers and was previously a contestant on "Celebrity Apprentice," had an 11-month affair with tattoo model Michelle McGee. While we don't know the full time of the relationship just yet, some of Jesse's behavior on Donald Trump's reality show may have been a potential sign of trouble in paradise.

McGee's former boss recently had this to say to Radar Online:

"[McGee] told me that Jesse's marriage to Sandra Bullock was for publicity, and that's why he did Donald Trump's show, 'Celebrity Apprentice'...He never called on Sandra for money or influence because their marriage was a sham, she said."

Jesse James ended up finishing third on the program behind Annie Duke and eventual winner Joan Rivers, mainly because he did not use any of his supposed "contacts" to raise any money for charity. There was some speculation that he didn't call Sandra for help during the competition in order to not "exploit" his wife on TV, but he also looked increasingly uncomfortable whenever Trump would bring up her name.

Did "Celebrity Apprentice" show some trouble in Jesse James' marriage? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more TV news.

Jesse James seemed so weak-minded on The Apprentice. He lacked creativity and drive and he whined. I didn't think that Trump respected Jesse (could be wrong) as a man because Jesse simply didn't seem smart. I thought after watching Sandra on the Barbara Walters special, that I must be missing something about Jesse... NO. He's a moron.

    Charlotte,

you said exactly what I wanted to. What a dumb box of rocks he "seemed" to be. I wondered what the deal was, why go into a show knowing you are going to need to raise money for a charity and not tap any lines? I always wondered if he really was as dumb as he always was on T.V. Now I know. That female version of Marilyn Manson looks like roadkill. So Gross. Sandy's gonna need to go get checked for Hepititus A,B,C,D,E,F,G.

When Jesse was on the Apprentice, much didn't appear right with him. He didn't tap into Sandra's hollywood money. Trump made references to how'd he ever get hooked up with Bullock -- must be good in bed, like Trump had the inside scoop on him, even back then. I am sure Trump has his sources in advance on all the celebrities that appear on the Apprentice. Jesse didn't respond much at all to all of Trump's needling about Jesse's disposition. Trump gave up after awhile. James just acted like he was hiding something, and was content with keeping it that way. I had never seen or heard him talk on TV before. He is a talented person, I just couldn't help but wondering 'where'd this guy come from, and what did Bullock ever see in him'. As soon as his affairs were made public recently, I immediately thought back to what I viewed as his consistently withdrawn unemotional behavior on the Apprentice. Can't hide where you are at once talking and mingling with a group starts.
