WarShip a great app currently on sale

WarShip is a great app for the iPhone or iPod touch that is currently on sale.  For the price of 99 cents you can get a $2.99 app that is worth every penny of the price.

WarShips puts you in command of a single ship where you must sink all the other ships in the playing area and collect money to upgrade your own ship or buy new ones.  These ships range from 14th century Carracks to the famous 18th century H.M.S. Victory.  I also love that there is a description of each ship that tells you a brief history of the ship.

The models and graphics are very good.  The water looks a little off but everything else is great.  It can also slow down a bit and lag if there are a lot of ships on screen, especially in the later stages of the game.  Sounds are also dead on and it sounds just like you are on a ship.

Controls are super simple.  Tilt the iPhone left to go left, right to go right, and touch the screen to fire your cannons.  That simple.

 WarShips is a great app that is a must download.  If you are fascinated by old warships, ships of the line or pirates this is an app for you.  I would recommend this app at $2.99 but at only 99 cents this app is a steal.  If you need further convincing however, you can download the lite version of WarShips which is free.
