Warriors steamroll past Clippers 115-94

On the strength of impressive performances from Stephen Curry and David Lee, the Golden State Warriors dominated the first place LA Clippers on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Curry netted 31 points, 25 of them in the first half, while Lee ended up with 24 points and 13 rebounds.

Early on it was all Curry, who went 9 for 10 and helped the team build a big 26-8 lead; continuing his push to become an all-star this year.

Despite rolling off 17 straight wins, the Clippers have now lost two straight, with the team looking weary against the Warriors. Chris Paul scored 23 points while Jamal Crawford netted 24 points, sore foot and all.

After trailing the Warriors badly, the Clippers went on a 27-5 run, showcasing the talent that has made Los Angeles a first place team in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. Matt Barnes, the former Warrior helped LA come back, following two three-pointers and a layup in the second quarter.

However the Warriors again started pulling away and Curry took the lead once again, with Golden State outscoring the Clippers 53-45 in the second half.

With the win, the Warriors improved to 22-10; trailing the Clippers by 2.5 games, who fell to 25-8. Next up for the Warriors is a rematch against the Clippers on Saturday in Los Angeles.
