The Golden State Warriors signed point guard Scott Machado from their Santa Cruz D-League affiliate on Sunday.
The 22-year-old played 12 minutes in six games with the Rockets earlier this season.
From 2009-2012, Machado starred at Iona College where he led the nation with 327 assists his final year, and was named the MAAC Player of the Year .
He was signed by the Houston Rockets as an undrafted free agent after an impressive Summer League.
He suited up for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, before being traded to the Santa Cruz Warriors on March 8, for center Chris Daniels and a D-League second round pick.
Machado recently helped Santa Cruz reach the D-League post-season; averaging 6.5 points and 3.4 assists in 10 games.
He is expected to be in uniform tonight when the Warriors take on the Utah Jazz in Oakland.
The Warriors can clinch a playoff berth with a win.
