Warriors sign Dominic McGuire

The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent forward Dominic McGuire, formerly of the Charlotte Bobcats.

In 52 games with the Bobcats last season, the 6'9" McGuire averaged 3.3 points and 3.8 rebounds.

In 252 career games, McGuire is averaging 2.6 points and 3.4 rebounds.

McGuire, 26, is familiar with the Bay Area. The San Diego native played two seasons at Cal before transferring to Fresno State.

After averaging 13.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks in one season at Fresno State, McGuire was drafted in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards.

McGuire is the second Bobcat to join the Warriors in as many days. Kwame Brown signed with the Warriors Wednesday.

The Warriors now have 19 players in training camp. The first preseason game will be on Saturday night at Orace Arena against the Sacramento Kings.
