The Golden State Warriors have assigned reserve guards Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks to their D-League affiliate in Santa Cruz, the team announced Saturday. Both swingmen will make their D-League season debuts tonight when Santa Cruz hosts the Bakersfield Jam at Kaiser Permanente Arena.

Bazemore appeared in five games with Santa Cruz last season, and has posted averages of 2.3 points and 1.0 rebound in 40 games with Golden State this season, far below expectations after his strong showing in the summer league.

Brooks was acquired along with point guard Jordan Crawford via trade from Boston on Jan. 15 and has totaled six points and two rebounds in four games. He has been the last man off the bench since coming to the Warriors.

Golden State has the next three days off and today's move assures both players will play significant minutes before Tuesday's home game against the Charlotte Bobcats.
