Warning, Born Again

Now that you are born again you will face opposition. Many new Christians believe falsely that once they are born again that their lives will go smoothly and they will not have any problems. This simply is not true. Look at Jesus. He had a man trying to kill him and he was still a new-born baby. This evil spirit will inevitably try and come against you. On one hand there will be people that will encourage you and be happy for you but on the other hand their will be people who will be angry with you for no reason. Some people will treat you differently just because you are born again. There will be people who will try to bring up your past sin and try to kill your new life. Many of you will loose friends and family over Christ.

You must stay prayed up and ask God for protection. You must realize that it is within this spiritual protection of God that your safety lays. People will even lie and try to deceive you as Herod did to try to get you to sell out your faith. You must learn to listen for and to the voice of God. That is actually what saved Jesus during this trying time. His mother and father were obedient to God through the dreams and prophesy that God spoke to them. Every time their enemies tried to attack God spoke to them. Because they knew the word of the prophets they realized that there was a reason and purpose for everything that was happening in their lives. Even when fear crept in they did not react carnally they acted spiritually by praying to God and waiting for his instruction. As a new Christian when you face trials, learn to deal with them from a spiritual perspective and not from you flesh on in a worldly manor. Truly you will have less problems if you allow God to order your steps and stand back and allow God to fight the battles.

As far as the friends and loved ones that you may have lost because you have converted to Christ, you must pray for them. Ask not that they be reconciled to you but ask that they be reconciled to Jesus. If they be reconciled to Jesus then you will be able to form a new relationship with them in the future. Always walk in love toward them and never show any unkindness toward them. That is the worse thing you could ever do. Only love will overcome evil and hatred.
