The third film in the Warner Bros. Studios "Cinderella Story" franchise is set to begin shooting in February, 2011 and the casting directors are casting various roles for male and female talented singers and dancers who are above 18 years of age that can play 17 year olds.
Damon Santostefano will direct from a script written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott. Santostefano directed the 2008 direct-to-DVD "Another Cinderella Story," which was also written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott. Patterson and Scott won a Writers Guild of America Award for that video, and Selena Gomez won a Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special - Leading Young Actress. "Another Cinderella Story" aired on the ABC Family on January 19, 2009.
Lucy Hale has been cast as the film's star. Hale currently plays the role of Aria Montgomery on the hit ABC Family series "Pretty Little Liars". She also appeared is the short lived ABC Family series "Ruby & the Rockits," Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place," and played Rose Baker on the Warner Bros. Television comedy series "Privileged".
