Earlier today during an investor call with Time Warner, it was announced that due to strong numbers in Q3 of 2012, that a new Batman Arkham game will be hitting stores in 2013.
Time Warner's CFO and chief administrative officer confirmed the existence of the new game and had this to say during the investor call today:
"And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012."
It is without a doubt that a new Batman Arkham game with be widely accepted among fans and critics. Both of the past Batman Arkham games that have been released by Rocksteady Studios have never had a score below 90 on Metacritic. There is also already speculation as to what the next iteration in the series will be called. Earlier today Time Warner registered the following domain names:
