Warner Bros. Interactive announces 'LEGO Marvel Super Heroes' video game

LEGO has had huge success in the video game industry with popular titles such as "Batman", "Lord of the Rings", and "Star Wars". Today, Warner Bros. Interactive announced that TT games is now working their newest title, "LEGO Marvel Super Heroes". The game offers an original storyline with all of your favorite heroes from the Marvel universe as they come together to save Earth from the threats of Loki and Galactus. "LEGO Marvel Super Heroes" is filled with epic battle scenes, combat-like action sequences, and puzzle-solving fun.

There will be eight iconic locations from the X-Men, Spider-Man, and Iron Man franchises as well as constructions sets from the new Iron Man 3 film. Players will be able to unlock over a 100 characters from the Marvel Universe such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hawkeye, the Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine and many more.

In the press release, Managing Director of TT Games Publishing, Tom Stone, had this to say about the upcoming title:

We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe.

TQ Jefferson, Vice President of Games Production for Marvel Entertainment also commented:

Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game. If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.

"LEGO Marvel Super Heroes" is scheduled to be released sometime in the Fall of this year for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, and the Wii U. This all new action packed adventure will be the first installment for the Marvel characters in the LEGO video game franchise. Warner Bros. Interactive was given the rights to the Marvel characters, who is the parent company of both TT Games and DC Comics.
