Warner Bros. announces 3-movie schedule for ‘Fantastic Beasts’

A 3-movie schedule has been announced for 'Fantastic Beasts'

A few days ago Warner Bros. had made an announcement that them and J.K. Rowling are planning on making her book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them into a 3-part series.

Warner Bros. had first announced that they were adapting the book sometime in September but there was nothing solid about whether it would be a one-movie adaptation or part of a franchise. It looks like it will officially be a part of a trilogy.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a spin-off of sorts from J.K. Rowling’s world famous Harry Potter books. While it’s a short 128-page book about the mystical creatures that we can find in the magic world that she has created.

Some details that we know so far is that it will the character Newt Scamander which will take place in the early 1900s, way before Harry Potter was ever in school.

Good news is that David Heyman (producer of 7 or the 8 Harry Potter movies) has signed on to produce the three movies. No directors or actors have been announced yet.
