Come in out of the cold, and celebrate “Warm Up With the Cold-Blooded Day” with your favorite scaly friends in the Buffalo Zoo’s Reptile House on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Visitors will enjoy hot drinks as they listen to keeper talks, make crafts and watch animal feedings. A special guest, Dan Sullivan, an investigator with the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), will provide a presentation on a recent undercover operation. Two endangered yellow-spotted Amazon River turtles now safely reside at the Buffalo Zoo as a result of this operation.
Activities included crafts, games, having your photo taken with a resident of the reptile house. You could also enter for a chance to win an original piece of art created by some of the residents of the Reptile House. (Tickets are 2 for $1 or 5 for $2.)
Activities are free with Zoo admission.
