The arctic air mass that brought several very cold days to Texas earlier this week is now moving eastward away from the area. Warm and moist air is currently moving in from the Gulf of Mexico and this is helping to increase rain chances as an upper level disturbance approaches. Rain chances will likely peak on Friday as the area of low pressure moves across Texas. This weekend’s weather looks nice and seasonable, with high temperatures around 70 degrees and low temperatures around 40 degrees. The long range computer models are indicating that another storm system could affect Texas in about 10 days.
