Synopsis…

High pressure will weaken over the region today as a warm front slowly approaches from the west with increasing clouds and some rain showers or an isolated thunderstorm arriving into tonight. Unsettled weather looks to continue into Thursday as low pressure develops along a frontal boundary near the region, bringing occasional rain showers and a few thunderstorms. Considerable cloud cover will also keep temperatures below normal.

Rain chances will continue into Friday and Saturday as an upper level low and associated trough will cross the region. Gradually improving conditions and warmer temperatures are then expected as the holiday weekend progresses.
