A warm front will nearly stall out south of the region today with any morning rain showers across southern areas tapering off and a mix of sun and clouds developing across northern areas. The front will then slowly push toward the region tonight through Friday with increasing clouds and additional rain showers developing and perhaps a scattered thunderstorm.

Even milder temperatures will then arrive on Saturday as the front surges north of the region, but a weak cold front will begin to approach keeping the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. Unseasonably warm temperatures look to continue into early next week.
