‘Warm Bodies’ projected to lead the box office over Super Bowl weekend

According to a report from HollywoodReporter.com on Friday, Feb. 1, the movie “Warm Bodies” is projected to earn nearly $10 million on Friday alone and will likely clear the $20 million mark to lead all candidates during Super Bowl weekend.

So far, the flick has opened up with generally positive reviews, pulling in a 7.3 out of 10 on IMBD.com after input from 3,728 viewers while also netting a 77% score on RottenTomatoes.com.

The movie is billed as somewhat of a paranormal romantic comedy, as Nicholis Hoult plays a zombie who rescues and befriends a girl, played by Teresa Parker, from near death. From that point forward, an unlikely romance and a strange turn of events take place.

Meanwhile, the numbers for Sylvester Stallone’s new action adventure “Bullet to the Head” look rather rough, as the film may only pull in $2 million on Friday and possibly less than $6 million for the entire weekend.

As expected, it is a slow weekend at the box office due to the immense anticipation of San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens face off in Super Bowl XLVII
