“Warm Bodies” looks deep into the strange. Due to be released on February 1, 2013, “Warm Bodies” takes a look at the bizarre relationship between a guy and a girl. While a relationship between the two is not so strange, it is if the male involved is a zombie. Makes a great Valentine’s Day film, doesn’t it?
The movie is a comedy, obviously. It’s a strange twist on the classic love story and a tale of the powerful connection between humans.
Plot: A zombie epidemic has hit the earth. “R” is a highly functional, truly unique zombie. He meets up with a human known as Julie after rescuing her from an attack by fellow zombies.
Julie understands how special “R” is and how different he is from the other flesh-eating weirdoes. The two form a special bond and help each other survive the zombie attack on the world.
This comedy movie is not only a new twist on the classic love story but is a new twist on a classic zombie film. The connection between “R” and Julie leads to a stream of comical and sometimes romantic events that begin to change the other zombies back to human form, including “R.”
“Warm Bodies” is rated ‘PG-13’ for the use of some bad language and for zombie violence.
“Warm Bodies” hosts a decent cast and crew. If well written, it could be a hilarious film, although it sounds like it may fall on the cheesy side, it appears (at least in the trailer) to be a hilarious comedy movie that may outdo most others in 2013. If the movie is actually as funny as the trailer, I'm betting this film is a hit.
