Warm and humid with showers and storms likely today

A warm front has now lifted well north of the area. A weakening convective complex will move across northern Ohio this morning, producing a period of showers along with a few rumbles of thunder. This activity will end by mid to late morning. Skies will become partly sunny this afternoon. A few thunderstorms could redevelop with the heating of the day. A few of the storms could be severe.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a few scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. We will have to keep an eye on any upstream complexes which could organize and head our way, increasing our rain chances overnight.

Tuesday, a cold front will approach from the west. Widespread shower and thunderstorm activity will develop and spread across northeastern Ohio during the afternoon. A few of the storms Tuesday afternoon could be severe.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue Tuesday night as the cold front moves through.

On Wednesday, an area of low pressure will begin to take shape to our southwest. We may see a break in the rainfall during the morning, but showers will spread back across the area during the afternoon.

Here is the forecast: For today, it will be partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be around 80. Winds SW 5-10 mph.

Tonight, partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s. Winds S 5-10 mph.

Tuesday, partly sunny with showers and thunderstorms likely during the afternoon. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s. Winds SW 10-15 mph.

Tuesday night, cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely. Lows will be around 60.

Wednesday, cloudy with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Highs on Wednesday will be around 70.

Extended Analysis: A deep upper level trough of low pressure will dig into the western Great Lakes on Thursday, then gradually spread eastward through Saturday. Occasional disturbances will interact with wrap-around moisture to bringing periods of showers to northeastern Ohio Thursday through Saturday. Temperatures under the upper trough will be below average through the period.

Thursday, cloudy with showers likely. Highs will be in the mid 60s.

Thursday night, cloudy with showers likely. Lows will be in the mid 40s.

Friday, cloudy with showers likely. Highs will be near 60.

Friday night, mostly cloudy with showers likely. Lows will be in the low 40s.

Saturday, mostly cloudy with showers likely. Highs will be in the mid 50s.
