High pressure will build across the area today. It will be partly sunny after some patchy morning fog. High temperatures this afternoon will reach the low 80s.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with patchy fog possible after midnight. Lows will fall to the upper 50s to low 60s.
On Friday, the high pressure system will move to the east coast. A warmer and more humid southerly flow will develop across Ohio on the back side of the high. It will be partly sunny across the area and there will be a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs on Friday will reach the mid 80s.
Warm and humid air will remain in place through the holiday weekend. Disturbances will track by to our north providing enough lift and instability for several rounds of showers and thunderstorm. While I do not expect the weekend to be a total washout, there will be a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures both days will be in the mid 80s.
A strong cold front will sweep across the state on Labor Day. Showers and thunderstorms are likely and there will be a threat of severe weather as well. Highs on Monday will climb well into the 80s ahead of the front.
Much cooler air will overspread the area on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
