Today’s Weather Synopsis…

High pressure will continue to slide offshore today, allowing a warmer and increasingly humid air mass to move into the region on a return southerly flow. A warm front will trigger an isolated shower in spots this morning, but a cold front will slowly approach from the Great Lakes region late today into Wednesday and stall out very near or just south of the region with increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms developing as moisture and instability increases. A few storms could even become strong with gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rainfall possible on Wednesday.

Some showers may linger into early Thursday as the cold front remains stalled out nearby and a wave of low pressure moves along it, but drier conditions will gradually attempt to filter into the region by Thursday night. Drier weather will build into the region by late week.
