Juan Williams declared it on Fox News. Politico reports the same. Republicans can’t legislate as they are divided within. Given that, the Senate senior citizens are crafting passable legislation. When they pass it, they will throw it over the wall to the House where Democrats and sensible Republicans will adopt the Senate solution.
Still, 25% of the radicalized right wing will not be pleased, yet soon that may not matter. If bipartisanship can be restored, Democrats and moderate Republicans can begin to address America’s need for a sustainable economy.
Extending the retirement age for some persons won’t be a bad idea. Applying means testing to social services and benefits administration won’t be a bad idea either. Those things are understandable and acceptable to most Americans, probably.
Where the hard work lies is in reengineering the American economy around a new economy that will emerge as the optimized sustainment model.
Remember that because it has been breaking at Examiner.com for over a year now. Big problems and big ideas take time to penetrate.
It is time to change the headline from “War within” to “Solutions begin”. It may not sound as exciting, but when we get down to substance it may catalyze the nation toward higher levels of greatness and achievement, unless we fall behind and forfeit that to another nation.
