There's nothing more satisfying than authentic, hard-hitting death metal after overblown edition of SXSW. War Master, Houston's answer to Bolt Thrower, is teaming up with Austin's own Morgengrau at Headhunters this Saturday.
Both bands feature a purist approach to death metal and invoke the days when the only releases that mattered where on Earache and Roadrunner. War Master is out in support of their killer new album, Pyramid of the Necropolis, so this is a chance to grab a copy of the LP or a shirt before they inevitably sell out.
Scruffy Dallas interlopers Steel Bearing Hand and newcomers Pernicious Phenomenon are set to open, and the show will start promptly at 8pm, so you won't have to lean against the wall until 2am to see everything. The out-of-town industry jokers are gone, so come on out and take back the city!
