The good news is that it's free and you can see War Master, a local band that creates rolling old school death metal much like early Obituary or Bolt Thrower.
The bad news is that you're going to have to sit through a bunch of "sentence bands" which come from a perspective where naming your band Bring Me a Sandwich is somehow profound or interesting.
However, War Master will be playing early, so you can skip out and do something else if -- like me -- you run for the hills the moment a sentence band, indie pose or scenester avantgarde makes an appearance.
Here's the lineup:
- Bury The Crown
- The American Heist
- Hell City Kings
- Burn The Boats
- Defending The Kingdom
- All Dead Here
- War Master
- Ballistics
- Skeleton Dick
- Omotai
At the long-standing Studemont musicopolis Fitzgerald's, this show promises to showcase War Master rolling over all comers as they usually do, by delivering what metal has forgotten how to deliver, namely deeply intense and darkly vivid music with a personality of its own.
