War Machine upset with Joe Riggs over Christy Mack tweet

According to a Feb. 4 report from MMA Sucka, War Machine (14-5) is set to fight Nah’Shon Burrell (11-3) on March 14 in the opening round of Bellator's Season 10 welterweight tournament.

While Machine is booked to fight a tough opponent in Burrell, he's already looking ahead at the next round of Bellator's welterweight tournament because he is itching to fight UFC vet Joe "Diesel" Riggs.

Machine, 32, is apparently upset with Riggs over a comment the former UFC star made about his girlfriend, Christy Mack.

Apparently Riggs did an interview with a media member, and was asked what he thought about his first opponent in Bellator's upcoming tournament.

Riggs said he didn't know much about him, so he was then asked about potentially fighting War Machine.

Riggs told the reporter he prefered to fight Machine in the opening round, and then he allegedly made a comment about Mack being a porn star.

Mack, of course, is a critically-acclaimed adult actress, so the issue might be a bit sensitive for Machine.

"@WarMachine170 Was asked about my first opponent didn't know much about him then was asked about you. I said I begged for you in the 1st bad," Riggs tweeted to Machine.

Machine then told Riggs he wants to fight him in the next round of the tournament.

"@DIESELRIGGSMMA u can talk sh*t on me all you want motherf*cker but there's no need to bring my significant other into it;hope I get u rd 2," Riggs tweeted.

Riggs seemed to be sorry for bringing up Machine and Mack to the media, as he tweeted out a bit of an apology.

"@WarMachine170 If I hurt you feelings about your significant I do apologize. We can talk about it in the 2nd round if you get there. Gnite," Riggs tweeted.
