According to an Aug. 15 report from MMA Junkie, former Bellator MMA fighter, War Machine, has been taken into custody without incident by the Simi Valley police and the U.S. Marshal’s service, after eluding law enforcement for a week. War Machine, 32, was found at an Extended Stay America Hotel in Simi Valley, Calif. Apparently, he was found with a small amount of cash on him.
War Machine was reportedly eating pizza when he was brought to justice by Simi Valley police, at 1:45 local California time on the afternoon of Aug. 15. War Machine did not try to fight with police officers or resist arrest. He was brought in peacefully. World-renowned bounty hunter, Dog the Bounty Hunter, had been searching for War Machine since Aug. 12, but he was unsuccessful in finding him. It was rumored that War Machine crossed into Mexico, but that turned out to not be true.
As it turned out, no one was harboring War Machine. He was hiding out in a hotel. Dog the Bounty Hunter told media that he was close to finding War Machine on Aug. 12, but that turned out to not be true. Apparently he was nowhere close to locating the former Bellator MMA and UFC star.
War Machine was running from police since being involved in a three-person altercation on the evening of Aug. 8, in a Las Vegas home that belonged to his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Christy Mack. Two people were left hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, after the incident had wrapped up. Mack broke multiple bones in her face, and suffered a ruptured liver.
The other person involved in the altercation, VH1 reality show star Corey Thomas, received a pair of black eyes and bruises on his face. War Machine allegedly started attacking Mack and Thomas, when he found the two of them hanging out. Mack lost several teeth in the attack, and her face was badly swollen.
No word yet on what injuries War Machine suffered, if any. War Machine has yet to issue a public statement on the matter, but more details are sure to emerge in the days and weeks ahead. Bellator MMA released War Machine from his promotional contract upon learning that he was involved in a domestic violence incident with Mack.
