"Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn," War Machine tweeted to his legion of Twitter followers.
Machine's tweet was apparently a response to Mack's posts from earlier in the day, where she hinted that the couple had broken up for good.
"@Sophiie1210 I'm fine! It was more me ending it and him saying 'Idk what I want, but I love you"'and me saying 'bye'," Mack tweeted.
A tweet that she posted later in the day regarding their relationship was a bit more disturbing.
"@08KRmachine I didn't let him. But I did stay after several slapping, choking unconscious, smothering, kicking, and throwings," Mack tweeted.
Mack and War Machine engaged in public Twitter battles in the past, but perhaps this one is their most controversial.
Time will tell how the situation plays out, so no one can really say for sure how the story will end.
Hopefully Mack and War Machine will go on to lead productive lives and move on from the situation in as professional a manner as possible, but fight fans won't know the outcome for at least a few more weeks.
"@Ms_DianaNicole I loved him. I'd probably make the same mistake again. Haha," Mack tweeted.
War Machine, a standout welterweight contender, has his life back on track now that he's busy with high-level mixed martial arts fighting in the Bellator MMA ranks.
As for Mack, she's a critically-acclaimed adult actress and model.
Both are successful in their respective fields, so there's no reason why they should have any issue moving forward with their lives in a positive manner.
War Machine has "MACK" tattooed across his neck, while Mack has "Property of War Machine" inked in red across her right shoulder.
No word yet on their plans for tattoo removal.
