Wanted, one special person to save a red-listed senior dog's life

Wanted - one person who is willing and able to open their heart, and their home, to one senior dog who has just been "red listed" at a San Pedro, Calif., animal care and control facility.

The dog's name is Harriet, and she is a ten-year-old Chow Chow who has been at the Harbor Animal Control facility since March 5.

A volunteer who just learned of Harriet's dire fate shared:

OMG Please please help, I am begging you on my knees I do not have any Senior rescues in my pocket. Can someone at least foster to give Harriet the gift of time and life.

Information shared about Harriet:

Meet Harriet! Harriet is a mature beauty, a lovely and petite red-haired Super Senior. Harriet is kept in ISO where no one can see her because she is geriatric, underweight, has some skin issues, and may be a little hard of hearing.

But boy was she happy to get out, trotting about and happily sniffing all the plants and flowers. Does anyone have room in their home and heart for Harriet?

One dog in need, one person who can help...an equation which seems simple enough, but alas, it is not.

Please share Harriet's information to help her find that one special person who is able to offer her a life-saving reprieve.
