Word has come forth from three wine and football prognosticators concerning the National Football League playoffs.
“Casa Piena Winery had the most winners in the predictions submitted prior to the 2012 season,” said winery founder and former San Francisco 49er president Carmen Policy. “These current predictions ultimately determine which teams will play in the Super Bowl.”
The 47th “Super” football clash is set for Feb. 3 in New Orleans.
The other two anonymous forecasters are “Bermuda Triangle,” and “Mystery Mogul.”
Policy said Team Casa Piena successfully picked winners in the Wild Card Round: Houston Texans over Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers over Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens over Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks over Washington Redskins.
Here are the latest white hot picks for Divisional, Championship and Super Bowl winners.
Casa Piena: Divisional: Denver Broncos, 49ers, Atlanta Falcons and Patriots. Championship: Denver and 49ers. Super Bowl Champions: 49ers
“Bermuda Triangle”: Divisional: Denver, Packers, Redskins, and Patriots. Championship: Patriots and 49ers. Super Bowl Champions: New England Patriots
“Mystery Mogul” Divisional: Denver, 49ers, Falcons and Patriots. Championship: Denver and Atlanta. Super Bowl Champs: Denver Broncos
Policy said there are major dissimilarities between the playoffs and a bottle of Casa Piena wine.
“Our cabernet is relatively consistent whenever you pull the cork because it is well made and utilizes great fruit,” he said. “It will show the nuances of each vintage but you can expect a very balanced and satisfying result with each bottle.”
A NFL game is quite the opposite.
“You don’t know what will happen from the initial kick off and through each of the four quarters. The preparation for an NFL game is just the beginning and the actual results on the field determine whether the whole effort was a success but still doesn’t suggest consistent repetition going forward.”
Stay tuned.
