The IRONMAN classes are designed as "preparatory yoga to open the athletic body." Empowering the strength of the mind and elevating the spirit, together with the physical preparation necessary to compete in an Ironman event, should be of great benefit to anyone who is competing.
The classes are open to anyone who is active in their lifestyle.
Beginning on Monday, September 16 and running through Friday, September 20, the classes last an hour, from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Classes will cost $10 for drop-ins, while the entire series of five classes will cost $45 on a registration basis. The five class pack is a savings of $25 over normal pricing.
The first class is Simply Stretch, leading to greater strength and range of motion. Day 2 brings Endure, to bring the body and mind together to move in "boundless possibilities."
Revitalizing is on tap for day 3. Inversions and restorative poses are offered with the goal of bringing all of an athletes systems together.
Day 4 is tapped to Inspire, according to Wanderlust. "Uncover the vision and rise to the occasion time and again, body, mind, and whole heart." Tri-athletes will need to tap into this kind of mind-body awareness to make it through the event.
The last day is geared toward meditation practice. The power of the mind and visualizing paths to accomplish goals should be of great benefit to anyone who is active.
