Wandering Wednesday: 'From Russia with Love' (1963)

If you're a world traveler or an armchair traveler you'll love this new feature where I find classic movies about traveling, either it be a romantic voyage or an all out deadly spy mission, Wednesdays will be getting more adventurous. Speaking of spies, the first pick is "From Russia with Love," a James Bond thriller, where Bond takes a voyage on the Orient Express. It's the second Bond movie starring Sean Connery.

Terence Young directed the movie and with Connery, Bernard Lee, Robert Shaw, Daniela Bianchi also starred in the movie. "From Russia with Love," is one of the best Bond films out there, and it'll take you on a wild ride!

Not only is the movie a good adventure film, it like most of the Bond films has luscious settings. One in particular in the movie is when Bond (Connery) is in Istanbul. So join Bond and Tatiana (Bianchi) on a journey to find the cryptographic device, Lektor.

So "From Russia With Love" is the first pick for Wandering Wednesday, a new feature that is going to look at traveling in classic movies. Don't forget to check back next Wednesday to see which classic travel film is picked!
