This Wednesday's pick for Wandering Wednesday is"A Room with a View." This 1985 film was directed by James Ivory and it had been produced by Ismail Merchant. The film is about a young lady, who with her chaperon goes to Italy, and there she finds a young free spirited man. The film is set in the Edwardian Period, that looks at the social life of the period.

Helena Bonham Carter, Julian Sands, Maggie Smith, Rupert Graves, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Denholm Elliot starred in this 80s period drama. "A Room with a View," was based of E.M. Forster's novel of the same name.

The film won three Academy Awards and in total had been nominated for Eight Oscars. It was a hit for Merchant and Ivory, and for the two leads Carter and Sands. It's no doubt a modern classic.

To rent it look for the movie at your local video store or if you have Netflix, it's currently streaming on the site. It's a good movie that blends both drama and light comedy.
