The film is about a young lady, who with her chaperon goes to Italy, and there she finds a young free spirited man. Helena Bonham Carter, Julian Sands, Maggie Smith, Rupert Graves, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Denholm Elliot starred in this 80s period drama. "A Room with a View," was based of E.M. Forster's novel of the same name.

The film won three Academy Awards and in total had been nominated for Eight Oscars. It was a hit for Merchant and Ivory, and for the two leads Carter and Sands. It's no doubt a modern classic.

To rent it look for the movie at your local video store or if you have Netflix, it's currently streaming on the site. It's a good movie that blends both drama and light comedy.
