It took time for the match to get going but in the 15th minute Western Sydney had the first chance of the match as Shannon Cole and Aaron Mooy linked up well allowing Cole to chip across the face for Youssouf Hersi which saw Jack Duncan make a solid save.

In the 27th minute Duncan was again called in to action as Hersi ran through the Perth defense and saw Duncan make a great save, with the rebound falling to Hersi who couldn’t control it.

In the 42nd minute Western Sydney did manage to get their goal as Jerome Polenz linked up with Hersi, allowing Polenz to run to the edge of the area, and shooting, but saw his shot blocked. But the ball rebounded to Polenz who controlled it and hit the second short low and hard in to the back of the net.

Perth Glory didn’t look at all in to the match, struggling to create any chances as they continued to have woes in front of goal, keeping it 1-0 at the break.

In the 60th minute Western Sydney managed to make it 2-0 as Mark Bridge made a great run down the wing and cut in to the box, cutting inside his defender and hit a curling strike between the keeper and the post to double the lead.

With such a heavy load of matches, and a 2-0 lead Tony Popovic went to his bench, bringing on Shnki Ono and Tomi Juric.

Ono was able to link with Hersi who was then able to send in a cross for Juric as he held on and sent a powerful shot that allowed him to slam past Duncan, making it a useful substitution, wrapping up the win.
