WAMI Awards announces 2013 nominees

On March 5, 2013, the Wisconsin Music Industry (WAMI) released the nominees for the 33rd annual awards show ceremony. The awards show will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Turner Hall in Milwaukee with Downtown Alive! taking place Saturday, April 13, 2013.

To recognize the 2013 nominees, WAMI will host an event on March 24, 2013, at Moct beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a live performance of DJ Poison Ivy at 7:00 p.m.

The nominee announcement is for the regular award categories. The People's Choice Award categories are still in voting mode and will close on March 8, 2013. Categories in People's Choice include Artist of the Year, Radio Station of the Year, Music Teacher of the Year and Music Venue of the Year. People can visit the WAMI website to vote for their regional favorites.
