The Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) announced today, March 22, 2013, the Hall of Fame inductees and People's Choice nominees for this year's WAMI Awards. The awards show is scheduled to take place on April 14, 2013 at Turner Hall in Milwaukee. In addition to the show, "Downtown Alive", returns for its second installment on April 13, 2013. Participating venues include Buckhead, German Beer Hall, Suite and Upper 90. A schedule will be released shortly.
The 2013 Hall of Fame inductees include guitarist Daryl Stuermer from the power pop band Yipes! and singer/songwriter pat mAcdonald, former member of Timbuk3.
The Inductee Ceremony will take place during the 2013 WAMI Awards Show set for April 14, 2013 at Turner Hall. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the Awards Show beginning at 7:00 p.m. This year’s performers include The Jimmy’s, Sexy Ester, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, The Squeezettes, Klassik, Annex, De La Buena and pat mAcdonald with Purgatory Hill.
Tickets are available for $24.99/adults and $15/students. Special VIP packages are available for $50/each and include a front and center table and two free cocktails. Tickets can be purchased through the Pabst Theater box office, http://pabsttheater.org/pages/fa.
