Walters Art Museum offers free art programs

The Walters Art Museum, in Baltimore, offers many avenues for children to experience art in a fun and free-choice learning environment.  These free programs run weekly and most require a registration.   Don't waste time stop by and see what The Walters Art Museum has to offer for family fun!

Art Tots

This program is new and free for toddlers 2 - 3 years of age and their parents.   Art Tot is held on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. - 11a.m.   Art Tot is an age-appropriate way to introduce young children to art and the museum.  Staff members achieve this by story telling, gallery play activities and art activities.  The class is limited to 12 children and pre-registration is required. 

Art Kids Preschool

This program is free for children 3 - 5 years of age and their parents.  Art Kids is from 10:30 a.m.  - 12:00 p.m. The children will use all their senses in this 90 min session with a trained staff educator.  In Art Kids children will have a hands-on experience which includes a story to go with the theme, a tour, and an art activity.  This class is limited to 15 children and pre-registration is mandatory. 

Drop-in Art Activities

No registration is required, just drop on by any Saturday or Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  to make and take a piece of art home with you.
