Walter and the Cuban Cigars opened the 2011 West LA concert series

July 14, 2011 – The quartet Walter and the Cuban Cigars opened last night the 2011 West LA Civic Center Summer Concert Series at the West LA Civic Center Bandshell.

The series will continue every Wednesday from 7 pm to 10 pm until August 31.  The band schedule follows:

July 20 - Big band night – Southern California Jazz Company

July 27 – Country night – Gold Rush Country

August 3 – Beatles night – Come Together

August 10 – Brazilian night – Jazz Bliss Brazil

August 17 – 80s night – I Want My 80s

August 24 – Mardi Gras night – Big Chief Dan

August 31 – Southern night – Nelson’s Dixieland Demons

Concerts are free of charge. Parking is likewise free. The West LA Civic Center Bandshell is located at 1645 Corinth Ave, Los Angeles CA 90025.  More information at http://www.wlanc.com
