On March 3, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin announced it will hold its fifth annual Food & Wine Classic this fall. The outdoor festival features a two-day weekend of food, wine and celebrity chef meet-and –greets.
In 2014, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic will be held Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Epcot Resort Area hotel. The event takes place from 5:30 – 9 p.m on both nights. The fall event includes include ten food and beverage seminars, food and beverage tastings and live music.
This year’s Swan and Dolphin’s Food & Wine Classic falls approximately two weeks after last year’s event, but will still take place during Walt Disney World’s (WDW) Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Though separate events, the Food & Wine Classic features similar types of offerings as the Epcot festival but on a more intimate level.
The Swan and Dolphin’s award-winning restaurants will serve some of their signature food items to pair with tastings representing more than 30 wineries, as well as opportunities to enjoy beer and spirits.
As in previous years, the Food & Wine Classic’s seminars will be led by the hotel’s chefs and certified beverage experts and offer meet-and-greets. For instance, celebrity Chef Todd English will attend the 2014 Food & Wine Classic and will meet guests; Todd English’s bluezoo, featuring fresh seafood, is located in the hotel.
New to this year’s Food & Classic are three food-pairing experiences, focusing on sushi and sake, cheese, and pasta. The ten food and beverage seminars, which require an additional ticket, tend to sell out quickly. Titles for offerings are as follows:

The Food & Wine Classic takes place, weather permitting, at the hotel’s outdoor causeway on Crescent Lake. In addition to its one-price Causeway ticket, the foodie festival offers an optional beer garden upgrade to the Causeway ticket and the food and beverage seminars; both require an additional fee.
