On July 21, Disney Parks Blog announced that Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California would offer discounts to eligible U.S. Military service personnel. These special theme-park tickets and room rates will be valid into fall 2015.
Disney’s Military Offers have been an ongoing promotion, with special offers every year since 2009 and options for both domestic Disney Parks. These promotions are sometime informally called Disney’s U.S. Military Salute or Disney’s U.S. Armed Forces Salute.
At Walt Disney World, Disney’s Military Offer for tickets runs from Aug. 25, 2014 through Sept. 30, 2015 at Walt Disney World Resort. Eligible active and retired U.S. Service Members or their spouses may purchase Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets that come in three options.
Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Park Hopper Option, which allows access to more than one park per day, will cost $177 each, plus tax. The Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Water Park Fun and More Option, with access to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon among other resort activities, will cost the same. The 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with both options will cost $207 each, plus tax.
These ticket for Walt Disney World Resort may be used from Sept. 28, 2014 through Oct. 3, 2015, with the following blackout dates: Dec. 22, 204 through Jan. 2, 2015 and March 29 through April 9 2015.
Disney’s U.S. Military Salute also runs at Disneyland Resort, with 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets that will cost $132 each. Disneyland’s U.S. Military Salute is available to purchase from Aug. 25, 2014, through Oct. 1, 2015, with tickets valid for use from Sept. 28, 2014 through Oct. 3, 2015. In addition to promotional tickets, Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will offer special room prices at select hotels. This offer is valid for stays most nights from Sept. 28, 2014, through Oct. 3, 2015, with the following blackout dates: Nov. 27 through Nov. 29, 2014, Dec. 24 through Dec. 31, 2014 and March 30 through April 4, 2015. Not that Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center Resort, is located on Walt Disney World Resort property but not owned and operated by Disney; it offers another option.
Disney Military Promotional Tickets do have several restrictions for purchase and use. They are available for purchase by eligible Service Members and their spouses, but not both. Eligible Service Members are active or retired members of the U.S. military, including members of the National Guard and U.S. Coast Guard and Reservists. Valid military ID is required to purchase and use these tickets, as well as to activate these tickets at the Walt Disney World Resort.
No more than six Disney Military Promotional Tickets may be purchased and, if applicable, active by eligible Service Member or spouse. Eligible Service Members, spouses, other family members and friends may use these tickets; the Service Member or spouse must use one of the six tickets.
Military Promotional Tickets, and options, expire and may not be used after Oct. 3, 2015. Tickets to Walt Disney World Resort are not valid until activated by the eligible Service Members or their spouses at a theme-park window.
These Disney Military Promotional Tickets are available at participating U.S. military sales outlets, and prices for the tickets may be less than what’s listed above at individual U.S. military base ticket offices.
