Walnut Hill Presbyterian Church in Bristol, Tenn., has been providing one of the most impressive and meaningful Christmas events in the Tri-Cities for well over 20 years. Their Christmas Scenes is a drive-through live nativity scene, and it is set in 7 different scenes from the Christmas Story.
This professional-quality experience is provided to the community at no cost. The church members do not solicit donations, and there are not even any donation kettles around the event.
The years of providing this labor of love to friends and neighbors have resulted in a finished product that is smooth and not the least bit amateurish. The props, lighting, and attention to detail reflect not only hours of work but some crafty, talented, and technologically savvy church members.
The 2013 event was held on Dec. 13-14, but residents of Bristol and the surrounding Tri-Cities should definitely write this down as a must-see for Christmas 2014.
