Walmart’s 2009 Black Friday ad has been leaked and the website link below has a copy of the ad and a list of products that will be on sale. Black Friday used to be considered the start of the holiday sales, but the economy has created a demand for retailers to start their sales early and get their ads out there early. One of the biggest internet searches over the past week has been for black Friday ads. Walmart leaked an early black Friday advertisement and then took it back.
With an anticipated 3.2% consumer spending drop over the holidays this year, retailers are doing everything they can to get people into the stores. Some stores have already started their black Friday sales. But the major retailers like Walmart, Target and Best Buy still plan to have great deals on the day known as black Friday…the day after Thanksgiving. Most stores will place their ad in local Thanksgiving newspapers and hope to tempt people into getting up early and coming to their store.
Most Walmart stores plan to open at midnight or on Thanksgiving Day, but Black Friday sales won’t start until 5 am, they hope that this will avoid that rush of people flooding through the doors and hurting one another. And then at 5 am people will be in line inside the stores.
Here is a list of products that have been leaked so far that Walmart, Target and Best Buy plan to have on sale on Black Friday.
