Walled Lake Western High School presents the Phantom of the Opera Nov. 11

His shadowy existence lives in the wondrous Paris Opera House that he claims as his own. He hides his physical imperfections and love for companionship by mysteriously seeking revenge on the performers who enter his home. His dangerous antics make him feared by all except the one woman who learns to accept him for his brilliant musical mind. Who is the man behind the mask? The Phantom of the Opera!

We're all familiar with the storyline of the Tony award-winning classic, The Phantom of the Opera. We've all heard and likely sung along with Andrew Lloyd Webber's mesmerizing score. It's no surprise that this show, which opened in October 1986, has won the hearts of audiences in more than 10,000 performances.

Now, experience magic with one of the first high school performing arts casts. Walled Lake Western High School will present its rendition of Broadway's longest running musical starting November 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The talented cast and crew of Walled Lake Western's Performing Arts Department have been hard at work crafting a professional production that they dedicate to the support of students, teachers and parent volunteers. During a time of threatening budget cuts for schools, the department has relied heavily on the help of the community. There's no doubt, however, that the production will be a smashing success, given Walled Lake Western's long history of quality shows for sold out audiences.

The Phantom of the Opera will be performed on Walled Lake Western's stage on the following dates:

November 11, 12, 18 and 19 7:30 p.m.

November 13 and 20 at 2 p.m.
