Rusty Wallace Racing plans to return to NASCAR Nationwide Series competition in 2013, according to a press release from the team earlier this week. RWR plans to field a No. 66 Ford for Steve Wallace in 10-15 series events this year.
"We all learned a lot over the last year or two, and we're looking forward to having the opportunity to show it," team owner Rusty Wallace said. "Our goal for 2013 is to compete in 10-15 events. We're looking forward to growing our relationship with the Richard Tocado Companies (sponsor) and are very positive about what the future holds."
A complete schedule for the No. 66 hasn't yet been released, but the first race for the team is expected to come in May at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.
Rusty Wallace Racing didn't compete in 2012, due to a lack of sponsorship. Steve Wallace previously drove the No. 66 for RWR before the organization temporarily ceased operation. Wallace at six-career top-five finishes in 192-career Nationwide Series starts.
RWR has one win in the series, coming in 2004 with Jamie McMurray behind the wheel.
