John Lennon fans can see some of the places where he lived and worked, plus hear his music in London on Oct. 9, which would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday.
Richard Porter, who has been guiding Beatles Walks in London for 20 years, will lead a special walking tour of the city. Places to be visited include 34 Montagu Square, which was John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s first home together, plus film sites for "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!"
The tour, which starts at 11:20 a.m., begins at Marylebone Station, where the opening sequences of "A Hard Day's Night" was filmed, and ends at Abbey Road. Cost is £8 for adults or £6 for students and seniors. No reservations are required.
Beatles tribute band Sgt. Pepper’s Only Dart Board Band will host a "John Lennon Love In" outside Abbey Road Studios at 1:30 p.m. The group will feature Beatles and Lennon music and lead a crossing of the famous Abbey Road crossing.
That night, Sgt. Pepper’s Only Dart Board Band will host a special concert at the Castle, 452 Finchley Road, London NW11 8DG, at 8 p.m. Also featured will be the Russian Lennon group the Oz and Mosquito-B from Canada. Tickets for the concert are £8 in advance or £10 at the door. They can be purchased from the venue or the Beatles Coffee Shop at St John’s Wood Underground Station.

John was not just killed, he was assassinated !
Google: Mae Brussel//Lennon
So a story about Paul's 10 concerts grossing $27-million gets relegated to the Paul McCartney Examiner but some silly story about a walking tour gets on the Beatles Examiner?
Man, I'm tired of this birthday overkill.
Thanks for reading both sides. There is content on the McCartney Examiner side that isn't over here.
I wish I could be in London for this. Hard to respond to the idea that commemoration of Lennon's 70th birthday is "overkill", They were Lennon and McCartney and I am quite sure John will be in Paul's thoughts on this occasion.
Paul Rules!. Long Live Macca!.
