Recently, Norman Reedus of "Walking Dead" fame shared a few pictures on Twitter from a Superbowl ad that the show is shooting. On Jan. 11 Business Insider shares that while the ad being shot is for the Superbowl, it is actually the newest installment for Time Warners' "Enjoy Better" ad that will be featured during the Superbowl.
Last year's commercial also had a few "Walking Dead" zombies in the episode, however this year it will be the main focus instead of other shows and clips that were more popular last year. Luckily for the indie show on the AMC channel, they will still get "Walking Dead" advertisement in the Superbowl but they won't have to shell out the high cost of over $4 million for the 30 second time slot.
Many fans are likely to be disappointed considering there have been tweets saying things like, "this is the only reason I will be watching Superbowl! :)". Unfortunately for fans, because this ad is being included in the Superbowl there likely will not be any teasers for the Feb. 10 return after the mid-season break.
What do you think of this ad idea? Do you think this could be a great break for "Walking Dead" without the huge expense?
